an innovative and intensive training facility that delivers results.
I formed Next Generation Fitness and Performance for people looking for a change from the mainstream “big box,” sales gyms that are driven by large volume of memberships. I wanted to create a gym that provides training, coaching, education and nutrition all under one roof which is member focused and service driven.
Our approach covers every aspect necessary for you to achieve your goal, whether you are involved in sports and looking to increase your athletic performance or an adult who’s goals are weight loss and a healthier lifestyle. One of the many benefits of our gym is that all our memberships and training sessions include personal training or coaching.
The fact that you have a coach assigned to keep you on track, guarantees that you will attend frequently: Which is why you will get results.
During my 5 years of professional experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Bradford Bulls Rugby League Club, I identified a gap in the long-term athletic development of young people. In most circumstances, this is only provided for potential future athletes on a professional scholarship programme, or once the youth reaches age 16 and gym memberships become available. However this tends to be non-supervised and lacking guidance, resulting in bad habits, poor technique and reduced movement quality.
“ To provide a unique, coached and systematised training facility that is focused but fun. Next Generation caters to the needs of adults and youths of all ages and fitness levels, providing a long-term solution for life“

At 70 years of age, friends comment on how well I look, no aches and pains. Prior to commencing a structured and progressive training sessions with Ben I used to have slight hip pain, which since training has never reoccurred. This is a result of Ben’s strict coaching of technique, around a full range of movement on key movement patterns and balanced programme. I highly recommend Ben for people of all ages wanting to achieve their goals.
I would definitely recommend Ben as a personal fitness trainer and I have been training with Ben for the last 4 years. I find the sessions are always enjoyable and motivating with new exercises regularly introduced so the training does not become monotonous. Ben has a professional sports background and brings this expertise to his PT work, with excellent diet and nutrition advice.
Ben also is willing to offer advice at the end of the phone anytime of day and shows great interest in his client’s fitness and well-being.
I have worked with Ben since I was 14 years old when starting the scholarship at Bradford Bulls, I progressed massively over the 3 seasons under him. Ben addressed all aspects of my physical development and without his support and knowledge the road to getting a professional academy contract would have been a lot harder. Ben went the extra mile and made himself available for a number of individual extra sessions that focused on developing my speed and agility to improve my on-field performance. His programmes enabled me to become stronger and improve my explosive power, whilst also educating you on the reasons behind his methods and programming and how it relates to on field outputs and key performance indicators. Which provided confidence and buy in from myself and other teammates.
He gives up a lot of his time to develop me and others become the best athletes they can be. I would recommend Ben to other athletes.
When I first met Ben we had a consultation which highlighted my strengths and weaknesses and individualised my programme to work on my strength whilst targeting the correct energy systems to ensure I got the optimal performance out of myself so I am riding to my best ability. Ben’s knowledge and scientific approach has effectively taken my strength and conditioning up a level by structuring a programme that works best for me and my racing. He devised full body strength sessions that incorporated the primary movement patterns, placing large emphasis on core stability and strength. Within 8 weeks of training my power average (watts) improved from 257 to 295 whilst performing a 3 minute aerobic test.
Within the first week of training I felt a lot more confident and stronger in myself and felt results straight away. The training programme Ben writes out for me advances each time helping me reach my potential. From working alongside Ben my strength has improved. Ben has helped me keep motivated and I’m a lot more focused with my racing and training, I would highly recommend Ben to any amateur or professional athlete looking to seriously improve their physical performance.
I met Ben when I first joined the Bradford Bulls in the u16 scholarship programme and from the start, all the team knew that he was passionate and serious about his job. He had a great working relationship with us all, he wanted focus whilst having a laugh and enjoying every minute of it, as quite a few of us signed professional contracts at various clubs including the bulls. Ben adopted a modern strength and conditioning approach, individualising programmes by position that worked on our strength and power, looking at how we move on the field with our running technique and how to be efficient when changing direction. With the guidance and help from Ben, with his added nutrition knowledge, I have improved my strength, power and movement skills to fulfil my potential. With the speed and agility, I struggled quite a bit and that was an area to improve for me within my game. Highlighting acceleration and leg drive during collision/contact situations whilst improving my power outputs, I spoke to Ben and he agreed to give me extra individual sessions, fitting into his already busy schedule he helped me a lot and that echo’s how hard he is willing to work with athletes to improve them.
Personally, I would recommend Ben as a great coach to any athlete wanting to improve their potential and achieve their fitness or performance goals. This is down to not only the vast knowledge and experience he has, but the time and effort put into the development of all athletes.
I started training with Ben 12 months ago with the goal of increasing lean muscle mass whilst at the same time losing body fat. Ben created a specific training programme for me incorporating the time I had available each week and my preference of weight training and cardio exercises.
I trained with Ben on average 2-3 times per week and over the last year I have actually maintained weight but replaced 5kg of fat with 5kg of lean muscle mass.
This has been achieved through Ben’s systematic approach to designing and managing my training programme. My programme consists of 8 week training blocks and at the end of each block a new set of exercises is introduced to ensure that my muscles receive regular surprises in terms of workload and type of exercise.
One key point within Ben’s training programme is that you only complete the designated exercises with correct technique to achieve optimal results. This is not a “sweat till you drop” programme, it is a systematic approach to achieving optimal results with minimal (focussed effort). And it works.
All in all I am delighted with my progress and I am looking forward to even better results over the next 12 months.
